MovePayment is providing its current users with the chance to receive a referral bonus in the form of cash added to their account, which is saved in the MovePayment user app as a Standard Bank account, by recommending someone to register for a MovePayment User account. The invitee simply needs to fulfil the requirements outlined in these terms and conditions. Reward will only be paid if all the criteria in these Terms are met by Invitee during the Period of 6 months. To participate in the MovePayment referral program, you must adhere to both these Referral Program Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions that always apply to your MovePayment user App while participating in the Referral Program.
1. What do you have to do?
To earn a referral bonus:
- Invite someone to join MovePayment by either tapping on the “Refer” button displayed at the bottom of the home screen of your app or in the hamburger menu under the section “Refer and Earn.”
- Your friend must use your shared code during registration.
- Your friend must make purchases totaling at least €50. This can be a single purchase or multiple purchases to reach the minimum amount.
- Once your friend meets the requirements, you can request your reward under the “Refer & Earn” section. The corresponding button will be activated and glowing green. By clicking on the “Claim” button, you can claim your reward. This button will be active for six months. If you don’t claim it during this period, your Referral Bonus will expire.
- You can invite as many friends as you like. There are no limitations.
2. Payment of Bonuses
A bonus will be paid out once per referred customer, once the relevant criteria are met as described above.
After you claim your referral bonus, it may take up to 72 hours for your reward to be deposited into your bank account, which is stored in the MovePayment user app as a Standard Bank account.
The exact value of bonuses may vary from time to time and the current amounts will be shown in your MovePayment app. The amount applicable will always be the amount as at the date on which the Referred Customer makes a qualifying transaction.
3. What other legal information should I know?
Referral codes cannot be used for any kind of commercial activity or in connection with any paid promotions, such as online advertising, mass emailing, texting, or messaging individuals you do not know, or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link, are not permitted.
If we suspect that you have engaged in any fraudulent activity or material abuse of the Referral Program, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to take appropriate actions. MovePayment also reserves the right to withhold bonuses if any such activity is identified. In the event that rewards result from fraud, we may request that you repay the monetary rewards. We will invoice you accordingly.
By participating in this Referral Program, you acknowledge that you understand any Reward may be subject to local income tax in the country of your residence and/or in the local territory where you are a tax resident.
4. Miscellaneous
MovePaymen reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or modify the terms and requirements of the Referral Program at any time and without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Changing the eligibility criteria for existing or Referred Users.
- Modifying the criteria of the total spend requirement, applicable to either existing or Referred Customers.
- Adjusting the amount of any bonuses payable.
The current terms and conditions will always be available within the MovePayment app or on the MovePayment website.
MovePayment retains the right to reject the participation of current users and/or Referred Customers in the Referral program without explanation and shall not be liable to you or any other party for such refusal. MovePayment also reserves the right to review and investigate all referral activities and may suspend accounts or modify referrals at its sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
