Terms & Conditions

These Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern participation in the MovePayment Affiliate Program (“Program”) operated by MovePayment GmbH (“MovePayment”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By registering as an Affiliate Partner (“Affiliate”, “Partner”, “you”), you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Program Description

The MovePayment Affiliate Program allows approved partners to earn recurring commissions by referring merchants or users to the MovePayment payment platform.

Affiliates receive a recurring commission based on the monthly transaction volume processed through MovePayment by the referred merchant.

Commissions are calculated exclusively on the MovePayment transaction fees generated by those transactions and not on the total payment amount transferred.

2. Eligibility

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Not operate in a sanctioned or prohibited jurisdiction
  • Not promote illegal financial activity

MovePayment reserves the right to approve or reject any affiliate application at its sole discretion.

3. Referral Tracking

Each Affiliate receives a unique referral link. A referral is considered valid when:

  1. The merchant registers using the affiliate link
  2. The merchant successfully completes onboarding and compliance verification (KYC/KYB)
  3. The merchant performs real transactions through MovePayment

Only transactions processed through the MovePayment platform are counted. MovePayment tracking data shall be final and binding.

4. Commission Structure

Affiliates receive a recurring commission based on the monthly transaction volume processed through MovePayment by the referred merchant. Once a higher volume tier is reached, the corresponding commission applies to the entire calendar month.

Up to €100,000 10%
€100,001 – €500,000 12.5%
€500,001 – €1,000,000 15%
Over €1,000,000 20%

The commission applies only to the fees earned by MovePayment from transactions processed through MovePayment by the referred merchant.

5. Payment Terms

  • Commissions are calculated monthly
  • Payments are made after the settlement period
  • Minimum payout threshold: €100

Payments are made only for completed transactions processed through MovePayment by the referred merchant.

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Misrepresenting MovePayment
  • Offering financial or investment advice
  • Spam or unsolicited promotions
  • Fake accounts or self-referrals
  • Artificial transaction volume generation

Violation may result in immediate termination and cancellation of commissions.

7. Compliance & Regulations

All referred merchants must pass compliance checks (KYC/KYB/AML). No commission is owed for merchants rejected, suspended, or inactive.

8. Marketing Guidelines

Affiliates may use approved marketing materials. Affiliates may not promise guaranteed acceptance, specific exchange rates, or processing times.

9. Intellectual Property

MovePayment grants a limited license to use its branding solely for promotion of the affiliate program.

10. Fraud & Abuse

Commissions may be reversed if transactions are fraudulent, reversed, refunded, or artificially generated.

11. Term & Termination

This Agreement begins upon acceptance into the program.

MovePayment may terminate participation:

Immediately for breach

With 14 days notice without cause

Upon termination:

Affiliate links are disabled

Future commissions stop

Valid earned commissions remain payable (unless fraud occurred)

12. Limitation of Liability

MovePayment is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or rejected merchants.

13. Independent Contractor

Affiliates act as independent contractors and cannot legally bind MovePayment.

14. Taxes

Affiliates are responsible for their own taxes and reporting obligations.

15. Modifications

MovePayment may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by German law. Jurisdiction: Braunschweig, Germany.
